Home Sweet Home

Ah, home! I'm happy to be back to my own house, my own bed, and back to our routine - but I can't say I'm happy to be back to this weather, snow, and cold. Spring you are welcome anytime now!

We had a really great trip! Greta had a great time with her Oma & Opa, playing with her cousin, and meeting her greatgrandpas. We enjoyed lazier days with less routine. Were spoiled with fresh broetchen from the bakery every morning that my father in-law would go get. We walked along the beach, in the forest, and on cobblestone streets with sunshine (most days), green grass, and flowers beginning to bloom. Nights after Greta was in bed my mother-in-law had some great German traditional meals on the table, and of course a glass of beer or two were consumed. Games of skip-bo we played, and broke German / English conversations occurred.  It's the stuff great memories are made of and sadly the time passes too fast.

I'll be back with a bigger trip recap, travel lessons learned, and photos in the coming weeks. Need to catch up on my 52 project portraits and Greta's 9 month letter (wow -- she's nine months today!). In the meantime, we will be working on getting our (well mainly Greta's) body back to this time zone - which I hope only takes a few little naps and an earlier bed time.

Stay tuned lovelies!
